About me
As a mixed media artist and visual storyteller, my practice traverses the concept of home, memories, space—both architectural and perceived—as well as the idea of the body as a space. I document my surroundings through drawings, paintings, prints, and textile works. Inspired by nature and structure, my work corresponds to organic form with juxtaposition of geometric lines and textures. Having been exposed to architecture and space from an early age, my work largely explores the themes of identity and space; the intimacy and interaction between them—time, tenor, and tonality of the historic and the contemporary.
My work has been showcased as part of group exhibition at the Tate Modern Art Gallery (London), the Apparao Gallery with TAP (The Art Platform, online), Samukha Gallery (Bangalore), The Student Biennale, Kochi Muziris Biennale (Kochi), Art Alive (New Delhi), and Pulp Society (New Delhi), among others.
I studied at Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore, as well as Malmo University in Sweden. I spent my formative years in a free-progress, alternative education school called Mirambika, based on the philosophy of integral education, which continues to define and influence my practice.
